Evaluation, rehabilitation and occupational rehabilitation devices that can assist in the monitoring, diagnosis and recovery of health status.

Devices on display and for testing:

LipoTool (LipoWise): The integrated system LipoTool comprises a digital skinfold caliper, Adipsmeter, wireless communication with a computer and a software application, LipoSoft. LipoTool allows accurate and fast assessment of body composition by measuring skinfolds. LipoTool is a powerful tool for assessing and tracking, training, study and research, allowing to register the dynamic tissue response of skinfolds under compression.

BodyGrip is a force measurement device for different muscle groups of the human body (tensile or compression), also able to assess the force variation with time evolution and to estimate associated physiological energy and power.

Instrumented glove and collaborative platform: This instrumented glove is used in a collaborative platform as a monitoring device in order to carry out rehabilitation exercises at home. The monitoring device is an instrumented glove with a set of sensors to measure the rotation of each finger’s joint from and to measure the hand orientation. The glove communicates wirelessly with the online platform CORe. The collaborative multiplatform for remote hand rehabilitation (CORe) allows patient’s hand movements, according to an exercise, viewed in real time or recorded for later analysis. 

Rehabilitation Glove for Thumb Apposition Evaluation: This instrumented rehabilitation glove is used to detect the relative position of the thumb to the other fingers. Three discrete levels for thumb position are considered: contact, proximity and apart. It communicates wirelessly with portable devices (smartphone or tablet).

Share - System for Hand Rehabilitation in Dexterous Manipulation of Daily Objects: Share is a force sensing instrumented device also capable of measuring spatial orientation. It is battery powered and communicates with a computer or mobile device wirelessly. It has been designed to mimic the shape of everyday objects (e.g., a plastic cup), while the virtual environment on a computer provides audio-visual augmented feedback of the applied force and orientation. It has a set of games suitable for hand rehabilitation and for occupational therapy.

NSensor: is a wireless sensor network monitoring system for environmental assessment of closed spaces. The environment parameters available include temperature, atmospheric pressure, relative humidity, illuminance, ultraviolet light intensity, CO2 equivalents and volatile organic components equivalents. The user can access a database to view and download the logged data of each sensor for a selected period.
