Dr.ª Luísa Andrade obtained a doctorate from the University of Porto with the thesis "Study and Characterization of Grätzel Solar Cells" in 2010.
She is currently Assistant Researcher at the Laboratory of Process Engineering, Environment, Biotechnology and Energy (LEPABE) at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto. She develops research activities in the field of thin film photovoltaic cells (Grätzel cells and solar cells sensitized with perovskites). Worked directly on the supervision of Prof. Grätzel in the Laboratory of Photonic and Interfaces (Lausanne, Switzerland) having several articles co-authored with him; Is still co-author of 6 patent families. The team that she was parte was honored in 2011 with the ACP Awards Diogo Vasconcelos and Solvay & Hovione Innovation Challenge 2011 and in 2012 with the Ramos Catarino Prize.
