Carlos Mauro is Brazilian and lives in Porto, the city that has conquered him since 2004. He has a multidisciplinary course: BA in Economics, Master in Public Administration and Government, and a PhD in Philosophy. He has been working on the human behavior subject for more than 15 years.
Invited by Professor Deborah Small, he spent a period as Visiting Scholar in the marketing department of the prestigious Wharton School. With her develops experimental studies on human behavior and rationality.
He seeks to apply the knowledge produced by Behavioral Economics in order to enhance the well-being of citizens, consumers and employees in organizations.
He’s a professor at the Catholic Porto Business School and director of Behavior Economics and Organizations Laboratory (BEO Lab), an applied behavioral economics research center at that university.
